Summer perk

Bergbahn Unlimited — we're a partner

As a partner of Bergbahn Unlimited, our guests receive a summer mountain-lift pass for the duration of their stay, loaded directly onto their Allgäu-Walser-Pass.

The pass is free of charge for you and is valid in the 2026 summer season from 30 April to 8 November 2026, each lift subject to its own opening times. It's issued for pedestrians and is ideal for hikes, days out for the views, family excursions or a spontaneous trip up the mountain.

These lifts are included in 2026

  • Fellhorn
  • Kanzelwand
  • Nebelhorn
  • Walmendingerhorn
  • Söllereck
  • Ifenbahn
  • Heubergbahn
  • Zaferna-Sesselbahn

Particularly handy: you don't have to decide before your holiday which mountain lift is worth it. When the weather's right, you simply set off — whether for a big tour, a leisurely stop at a mountain hut or a quick panoramic trip after breakfast.

Highlight

Parking

In summer, our free parking right by the house is at your disposal. In winter an underground parking space is included — convenient and sheltered for when you return from a day on the slopes or a hike.

Summer (approx. May–November)

Because of the hillside location, the drive up to us is steep. If you're towing a bicycle trailer, please give us a quick heads-up beforehand — we're happy to help and will collect the trailer for you if needed.

Winter (Christmas–Easter)

In winter we'll meet you at Gerbeweg 1, 87568 Hirschegg (behind the Walserhaus, the topmost underground car park1). You can leave your vehicle here for the duration of your stay. We collect your luggage on arrival day and bring it back on departure day. The underground car park is about a 10-minute walk from us. Parking with a roof box is also possible, as you can simply leave your vehicle in front of the car park.

When there's little snow and the road is completely clear, you may be able to drive straight up. We'll let you know shortly before your arrival whether this is possible.

1 One underground parking space is included in the price. For additional vehicles we charge €50 per week.

All the arrival details, with pictures of the access route can be found on the Contact page.

Huge garden

Our generous garden is yours to enjoy: among lawn, trees and mountains you'll find room to breathe, read or simply sit in the sun. The play area invites children to climb, slide and let off steam, while a small mountain stream alongside tempts them to build dams — and parents can watch in peace from the seating, or join in.

In summer the garden becomes a natural living room: an afternoon coffee, a little picnic or planning the next day's hike — all outdoors, surrounded by the stillness of the valley. The choice is yours: deckchair in the shade or in the sun?

When winter wraps the garden in a blanket of white, it becomes a playground at the front door for families: children have plenty of room to build a snowman, enjoy a cheerful snowball fight or simply dig about in the powder. The odd grown-up has been known to have a go at building a snow bar, too.

Highlight

Mountain views

From the Gehrenspitze to the Widderstein — all around our house a magnificent view of the Kleinwalsertal's mountains opens up. From the balcony, the garden or over your first coffee by the window: the mountains are always present and accompany you throughout your holiday.

In summer the peaks glow above green meadows and fir forests; in winter the same contours appear as snow-covered silhouettes — often beneath a brilliant blue sky, sometimes in the atmospheric hour of the Alpine glow, when the valley is bathed in warm light.

Ski-in / ski-out

Located right on the H8 ski slope — ski-in and ski-out are possible with us. A quick dash onto the piste in the morning, back "home" relaxed in the evening, with no long treks carrying skis and boots. And at lunchtime? Just as easily, you can pop home, grab a bite and warm up before heading out again.

This is how we often see it in the afternoon: parents sitting with a coffee in the sun on the terrace while the children practise their turns on the Heuberg or take another run — and a cheerful "hello!" calls over from the lift again and again. Close together, without everyone having to ski at the same pace.

And when there's really plenty of snow, we even get a piste-groomer track right into our garden — then the freshly groomed track can be enjoyed literally all the way to the front door.

Pets welcome

Dogs are warmly welcome with us — ideal for active guests with a four-legged companion. The one condition is that your dog is well trained: it may go neither on the sofa nor in the bed. It may be left alone only if it stays calm and doesn't make a fuss — so that neighbours and other guests aren't disturbed.

In the garden, dogs with good recall are welcome to run free, provided they leave our hens in peace. There's a fountain too — many four-legged friends like to cool off there now and again in summer. Please note that a fee applies for your dog.

Highlight

Fresh spring water

Right by our house you'll find fresh spring water at the fountain. Many guests like to use it to fill their water bottles for a day's hiking — clear, cool and straight from the mountains.

The fountain runs in summer and winter alike and is available to you all year round.

Highlight

Flowers

In summer, 140 flowers are always planted in the boxes all around the house. The result is a lovingly tended, colourful picture around the balconies and façade.

The flowers bring extra Alpine charm to the whole ensemble and make the view outdoors even lovelier.

Highlight

Storage

In the entrance area of the house there's a heated boot rack at your disposal — along with space for poles, helmets and small items. You'll also find information material about the valley and the surrounding area laid out for you there. And if you fancy it: you're welcome to leave a few lines in our paper guest book — we're delighted with every entry.

Outside there's a shelter ready for skis, bikes and other equipment, so everything stays dry and close to hand.
