Protecting your personal data matters to us. This website is purely an information and presentation site and uses no tracking or marketing cookies — so no cookie banner is required. Below we inform you, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG), which data we process and what rights you have.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for the processing of data on this website is:

Gertrud Gmeiner
Am Berg 19
A-6992 Hirschegg / D-87568 Hirschegg
Austria
Telephone: 0043 676 97 57 875
Email: info@gondamaika.at

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted as a static website (plain HTML) with Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany (EU); a data processing agreement pursuant to Art 28 GDPR is in place. On every visit, the hosting provider automatically stores technical access data in server log files (in particular IP address, date and time, the pages accessed, as well as your browser and operating system). This data serves solely to deliver the website securely and without disruption (legitimate interest, Art 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is usually deleted after no more than 14 days. It is not combined with any other data.

3. Getting in touch

This website has no contact form. You can reach us by email, telephone or WhatsApp. We process the data you provide solely to deal with your enquiry (Art 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries, otherwise Art 6(1)(f) GDPR) and delete it once your enquiry has been fully handled. If you contact us via WhatsApp, your data is additionally processed by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. in accordance with their privacy terms.

4. Web analytics with Matomo (cookieless)

To measure reach we use the self-hosted open-source software Matomo — not Google Analytics. The analytics instance is operated by Robert Slachta at a.rs-design.sk and hosted on servers of Websupport s.r.o. in Slovakia (EU); your data does not leave the EU and is not passed on to any third parties. Matomo is configured to be especially privacy-friendly: no cookies are set, your IP address is anonymised, your browser's “Do Not Track” signal is respected and no cross-site tracking takes place. Analysis is carried out only in aggregate and without any personal profiles. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly reach measurement (Art 6(1)(f) GDPR); no consent is required for this.

5. Availability check and booking

You can check the availability of our holiday apartments on the website. The query runs via a technical intermediary service (Cloudflare Worker), to which only the dates and number of guests are transmitted — no personal data such as your name or payment details. For technical reasons, Cloudflare Inc. (USA) thereby receives your IP address; the transfer is safeguarded by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses (Art 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The booking itself does not take place on this website, but in the external booking system at buchung.gondamaika.at, which is provided by our service provider eviivo Limited (United Kingdom) or eviivo Ireland Limited. eviivo processes the data you enter there under its own responsibility, in accordance with its privacy policy: https://eviivo.com/privacy-policy/.

6. Google Maps

On our contact page we embed a map from Google Maps. For privacy reasons it is only loaded once you actively click “Show map”. By clicking, you consent to the data processing by Google Ireland Limited (Art 6(1)(a) GDPR); this may involve a transfer to Google LLC (USA) safeguarded by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. No data is transmitted to Google before you click. Further information: policies.google.com/privacy.

7. Your rights and right to lodge a complaint

You have the right at any time to access (Art 15), rectification (Art 16), erasure (Art 17), restriction (Art 18), data portability (Art 20) and objection (Art 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art 7(3) GDPR). To exercise your rights, an informal message to info@gondamaika.at is sufficient. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Austria with the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at, www.dsb.gv.at.
